I recommend formatting your computer with a sledge hammer, and then buy a completly new computer. You'll never be able to run PS with specs like that.

Well with that sorta money I dont think you can do much. Perhaps an extra stick of 256mb of ram? With a new graphic card and 512mb of ram you should be able to run PS on low settings. Then again you have an e-machine so the ram will probably be like PC800. Which sucks ass. Avoid areas with large amounts of players.

A sledge hammer is a large hammer I enjoy using to beat the shit outta my cat with every time it bites my leg.

Is the computer YOURS? Do you know how to open one up? Do you have a manual for it. Maybe we can find out what you can upgrade it to or suggest a cheap motherboard and ram to fix it up. But we have to find out exactly what is on your comp. You can probly get something sufficient for very cheap. And then maybe we can figure a way to tell you how to install it. Maybe it will give you good edge on computer jobs in the future. Or give you the obsession most of us got to get us into computers.

Being 12 has never stopped people in hte past from figuring this stuff out.

ok well you wont find my model on the e machines site because their assholes and they never update... my dad opened up my computer yesterday and told me that i would be able to cram alot of crap in there... and i just found out that i dont have a video card in my system already, i just have an onboard video thing built into my motherboard..
BUT
im gunna install a new video card as soon as my dad calls the e machines toll free number so they can hopefully tell him how to disable the onboard video so he can install my new video card...
SO
my model number is D2246
it came with win. xp pro installed and an antivirus
i disabled the antivirus before i installed planetside... (or at least my dad did)
ive tried reinstalling
and even without my new video card the graphics are good...
and they actually looked better when i tuned down the settings...
and im not stupid... i figured out what was wrong with my computer when i used to play halo (and still do )
as soon as i learn exactly what i have in my computer i will tell you
ill probably know by tonight on Jan 6th

Just remember the best thing you can do is get one gig of ram right now, or as close as possible. Its not as expensive as you would think. Tell you dad to get your motherboard specifications down to a T. We need number of ram slots type of ram ram speeds supported etc. And how much ram you have now in waht amounts(do you have one chip with 256 or mulitples of others now), and what speed ram you have now. Type includes how many pins, and what the PC type is(PC133, PC 3200, PC 2700, PC2000, etc.) which will also tell us the speed etc. But we need to know what you motherboard can support in both how much you can add and what speeds you can use so we have a broader sense of what to look at to look for it or tell you more about what you can get.

Let me interpret the error message.

YOUR VIDEO CARD IS TOO FUCKING SHITTY TO RUN THIS GAME. BUY A NEW ONE, OR STEAL ONE.

Either that, or find updated drivers for an Onboard Intel 828456/GL/GE/PE/GV/Graphics Controller.

If you ahve 248 im guessing you ahve like 3 chips getting you that far 8( If you do it wont support 1 gig from what i know. You might want to build a new comp. You can build or maybe even referbish what you have very cheap. You have a hard drive video card adn probly something else to throw in like maybe a power supply. You can buy Motherboard that support 800mhz bus and 2-3 gigs of ram for like 50 bucks now 8) ther just not major brands.
