Disciples II. Any of them. Guardians of the Light, Servants of the Dark, and Rise of the Elves are the names of 3 of them.

They are good. Damn good.

Spellforce is supposed to be good too.

Disciples II isn't a RTS though

It's a turnbased strategy game.

Empire earth, its old I think like 2001 but man is that game awsome. Its like age of empires, command and conquer and homeworld all in one. It has every age of human technology for you to play in. You can be in the Bronze age fighting with shields and spears or you can be in the Nano Age with be blowing the shit out of each other with mechs, nukes, and orbital bombings. Unlike all the other games though the nuke is powerful shit, I mean you can talk out half a base no problem. There is no limit to how many nukes you can get either. Oh man is that game fun I'm gonna go play it now lol.

M:TW is amazingly complex from what I hear. I also hear it's brutally addictive.

oh, how could if forget one of the best RTS ever, Ground Control, youll have to buy it off of Amazon, or get lucky elsewhere, itll only run you 12 bucks or so, and its worth it.

the gist of the game, is no building of bases or units, infact, most of the time your going to assault a base, basicaly, you pick your units, then you pick their type, then you outfit them with their special abilities, IE a turret they can drop that shoots AA, or say for infantry, they can get mortars, tanks can get HE rounds, and so on.

then, you take them into the feild, they land on drop ships, and then you attack with them. this game is focused around using stratagy, like hiding in a forest, or in the shadows of a mountain to ambush a enemy group driving by, or using artiliry to soften up base defences and then sending in your troops from two different directions, that way you can distract the enemy with one, then come around with the other and attack the enemy tanks in their soft spot, their rear.

what am i trying to say? its one of the Best RTS ever, if you dont have it, i pitty you.

It's not a RTS but a turn-based strategy game that is over the top. Check it out.

I, myself, am content with starcraft. I simply build about 18 nuke silos, 18 ghosts, and then have a crack team of nuclear "blow them the fuck up-ists" running around.
