I've been on since '95.

I really really doubt that anybody here has been on since it was invented. That would mean that you were on the internet back in the mid 70's, before it was even accessible to the average PC. The only way that's possible is if you worked with ARPA, the DoD, or were a graduate student at some place like MIT. 1987 I could believe, but that's long after the net was actually invented.

I got into the computer scene late, because the person who makes the money in the household is not too keen on technology. So, I got a computer as AOl....I THINK maybe 4.0 was coming out.

Much more memorable than that, though, was the conversaion from 56k to cable...UnF.

Actually that's DARPA (Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency). I was on-line back when there were no personal computers of ANY kind - even before Tandy's Model 1 - and was running at 110 baud on a teletype connected to a mainframe (DEC PDP-10) in 1972.

Hardcore to the extreem. lol, nice You can like...actually say "I wuz on teh intr0net b4 u wuz in dyp0rz!!11" and be correct

Edit!11: Do you guys in the US have those BT/Yahoo! internet adverts (yea, I'd guess they'd just be for Yahoo! in the states, as British Telecom probably don't have an ISP in the US) with those two geeks in the '60s or '70s (I forget which it's supposed to be) talking about the internet and stuff? I can just see Marsman in a similar situation ('cept Marsman'd be cooler and stuff, cos I don't wanna be banned ).

Found the guys!!1 http://www.btopenworld.com/broadband...r/affinity?UKA
