Sturmgrenadier has pretty tight TeamSpeak protocols. We link squads and platoons together with different channel commander functions, bind dynamic whispers to each other (mostly used between drivers/gunners/spotters), and follow/enforce communications discipline with all of our members.
Without TeamSpeak, our operations would be horribly disorganized and next to impossible to execute. TeamSpeak, used correctly, is an amazing resource. As someone on our boards said, "A man who wields a sword loosely, will cut his own ear off". |

Hrmm I'm gonna have to figure out how to get these dynamic whispers to work.
Any way to get around having it so that a Squad leader has to 'clear coms' (A.ka. Everyone shut up for a while) While they talk to other squad leaders? Maybe a 'squadleader room', and then dynamic whispers to the Squad itself. Some of my outfit leaders do that a bit too often and it's pretty annoying :O

With LiquidForce we have loose comms and tight comms. Tight Comms is always active unless the SL states otherwise. Loose comms is let loose and talk about what ever or who ever's sister. This is only happening when we have few members on or a small squad. During Tight Comms, only relevant information is stated. To speak you must Call "Break JohnDoe" then the SL will give you the go ahead "Go JohnDoe." Only the SL will speak out of turn. If you have confronted an enemy and need to alert the outfit immediately, you call "Contact enemy Reaver Purple 3." Then the SL deals with it accordingly. If the SL needs to talk over Com chat he will say hold comms so he and the other SLs can communicate. Teamspeak can get VERY complicated, but we try to keep it as simple and affective as possible. This applies to or Planetside Squad rooms, the Lobby and other gaming channels differ from these rules.
