Retroactive means working backwards, basically. Spork said that with the exception of the Veteran medal, no awards would be issued based on criteria that had been met before this feature was added.

He said the veteran medal would, however, count from total play time. This award (given automatically after your character or account, it's unclear which) has been around for a year. It gives you one extra slot to display a medal on your avatar, plus an actual medal indicating you're a veteran.

I guess cloakers get screwed on this deal, eh?

Still, this is a simply marvelous idea. Would like to see it made first priority after 2.7

I hope there is one that counts how many kill-assists you get for driving the vehicle the gunner is killing people with.

I would hope that they would allow you to put something on your vehicle to show that. Maybe a hood ornament or something.

Seriously, I can't wait for the veteran medal. If they release it before the 29th though, I'll have to wait just that much longer. Doubt they will, but I'm just saying.

Most of my Kills come from Holding down Gens, repairing them or doing back hacks. You'll generally get twice as many kills out of the zerg then in a zerg!
