PS3..well yah I'm almost positive it will handle it. It's being developed with the new cell technology;but then probably are the other new consoles. PS2, Xbox, and GC were just "betas" for the upcoming systems as I understand. PS2 and Xbox are coming nicely along in their "beta" stage but GC is sufferring from lack of participants
New cell technology isn't exclusive for anything at the moment. Well will most likely see it in computers. What does this mean for video games and other high tech electronic devies as we know it? A: There's going to be some freakisly cool stuff on it's way a few years down the road. |

Quoted from the last dev chat.
<+Helstrom109> will there be an appearance made by the aliens which created the wormholes and elder technologies of Auraxis? <@SmokeJumper> Helstrom109...good question...but we reserve the right to answer that much later. Seems like there is something instore for PS. Maybe even a sequil. |

PS is the perfect MMOG for a console. I'm sure they'll make a console version of it.
As for a sequel, MMOGs generally don't have sequels. The only reason you make one is if you want to entirely abandom the core elements of the initial title. For example, EQ is a steaming pile of crap, but EQ2 will be drastically different. So different that there's no way they could turn EQ1 into EQ2 without the original EQ1 players having a heart-attack and dying that their form of digital masturbation has been stolen away from them. Therefore, they need to make EQ2 instead, and leave EQ1 to its fate until it's no longer making a profit and they close down the servers. |

The aliens should come back that left the Vanu technology and force all three human teams to align to form a new united empire. The worm hole re opens terran try to conquer everyone.
Or the they should do Galaxy Side or something where each team starts to move to different planets and stuff and their are big space battles

Flameseeker is about on the dot with what I was thinking for P.S.-2(not to be confused with PS2).
However little the chance of a P.S.-2 being developed, I am simply looking at it from a story prespective. The 3 sides call an armastice, and decide to each control 1/3rd of the planet, and 1 neutral continent. After several years, the wormhole reopens, yet noone comes from Earth for several more years. Scout ships sent through have not returned. The Wormhole is considered a leagend, but is now considered Taboo to atempt to use due to the aparent danger. Mystirious spacecraft begin apearing in orbit of Araxis. These craft employ steath abilities that evade nearly all forms of scan, and are only visible when directly lined up with the wormhole. Communication atempts have failed, and military preparations are made. 2 months after the population of Araxis were alerted to the presence of alien craft in orbit, the warp-gate system suffers a failer and shuts down. Matrixing chambers begin to malfunction, and only store a pserson's data, but dont reconstitute them. The 3 govornments begin forming navys to connect isolated continents and protect transports. Small skirmishes break out between the navys, but nothing too seriouse. 1 week after the warp-gates shut down the Terrans and Conglomerate begin looseing all contact with bases planted throughout the continents. These outposts are immediately retaken, but there is no sign of the soldiers or scientists that were posted at them. The 2 empires accuse the Vanu of breaking the treaty, but the Vanu denie it, pointing out that their Marixes are not working properly either. It is unknown what is happening, because the alien ships still apear to be in orbit, until a Vanu spy returned badly injured and nearly comatose from a Conglomerate outpost that was lost. While spys are accepted as common practice between the empires, they are usealy only subjected to neural surgery to remove the data they may have stolen, but not physicly tortured or exicuted. The Vanu make accusations of tortue on the Conglomerate, which are denied. When the spy regains consiousness, he apears to be compleatly insane. He raves of monsters that crawl through walls and steal people. the empires decide to combine their individual investigations of the events into one consolidated effort. Vanu scanners reveal minute traces of an unknown, extreamly complex, compound inside of the building's structures. The republic and Conglomerate begin sweeping effected areas for this compound and more is found in each place. Shortly after seting contunus scans for this alien material a Vanu base was atacked by a group of aliens that had technology that let bullets and other projectiles pass through them, but not Vanu beam weaponry. The alien corpses are studied and the empires begin opening fire on the stealthed ships in orbit whenever they are revealed by the worm-hole. Measures are taken to prevent the aliens from useing this phaseing technology from effecing a large area around the warpgates and bases(ie: sphere of influence. Modifications are made to bullets to allow this new adversary to be atacked with conventional weapons. A group of Terran Battleships immerges from the wormhole and begings bombarding Araxis and atacking the orbiting alien ships. A message is sent to the Araxians to surrender to the Empire of Earth, whith which the Republic seeks to assist. THe conglomerate and Vanu form an alliance to fight back this new threat. Hatred and predjeduce remains between the 2 formar rivals, but they note the greater threat of the Terrans or aliens subjegateing them individualy. Records translated from a downed alien ship by Vanu exo-linguists reveal that these aliens who called themselves the (enter name here) atempted to take control of the Sol system and were able to conquer earth, but the Terrans retreated to Mars and the atsteroid belt and eventualy reached a stalemate. The Aliens had control of the space around the wormhole, and destroyed any craft that came through. The Terrans sought to gain more resorses by recounquering Araxis, and punched through the Alien lines to control the wormhole. These aliens were also repsonsible for the downfall of the Vanu civilizasion. While the Vanu had managed to barely fight them off, the devistation to the population and matixing chambers never recovered, and they eventualy died out. This has the potential for either a good MMOG or single-player game. I have too much free time.
