I've been debating whether to buy a game card again or not. But then I see all the new stuff coming for PS.
Besides, the SWG Devs are too busy catering to the jedi's. I wish they never introduced jedis. They ruined the game. Unless they can make cities lively and interesting places to hang out in, (and I mean other spots besides the cantina and starport) i'll buy the game again. Right now the game fails to have the starwars movies feeling I was hoping it would have when I started playing.

I have the trial, and I don't forsee myself playing through it. It is very jerky in Mos Eisley for some reason, even with everything on low, and I do NOT have a sucky computer. The action is boring and repetitive: Kill little creatures that magically take like 10 volleys from a laser rifle. You have to kill dozens of them to get just one new ability.
Now...If I had my GAUSS RIFLE...they'd all be DEAD. The interface, through it tries to be streamlined, is awkward. All in all...not worth buying. Then there's the typical RPG bullshit: It's the frog's turn to attack. Let me just stand here and wait for it. Or when I'm backpedaling and running away, the frog thingy still manages to hit me, despite having just a melee attack. The players seem uninterested in all non-RPG talk. I go "I'm running with 7 SPF (seconds per frame) here. Everything's on low. What the *hell* do I do to make it run?" This is in the cantina. THE cantina. At least 40 people are there. And nothing. Nobody replies.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
