I doubt they'd *completely remove* the games from stores.

I bet they could get rid of alot of piracy if they do that. Lets face it, gamers are lazy, I myself have downloaded games because I didnt want to bother biking to the store, or waiting until the weekend to get a ride from my parents to EB. They make it easy to pay, and install, and its direct business right there. I Remember that savage did that, they let you download the game right for the site, and they e-mailed you the CD-key.

There would be a lot of issues for a lot of people... some people don't like using their credit cards online, others can not get hi-speed connections due to money or where they live or parents that just don't care what connection speed their children have (I'm lucky I have cable...) ...There'd be problems...

They could just offer the service, and then for people who don't want to have their credit card number online, could simply go to the store and buy it. It's really a great idea.

Chewy... your sig... they aren't going to release the original cuts on DVD? I thought that was the original plan...

Nope, they're releasing the Original Trilogy with lots of modifications to it that don't make any sense.

while its a fine idea and all, but it would also screw over the person that DLed it, say if they had to format, or their HDD went kaput. how would they go about redownloading it if they needed to? and how would the company make sure that this is the same guy downloading the game, and not his friend?

who would want to pay 50 bucks twice? ergo its smarter to get it at the store because you have it permanetly, of course, that is if you forget the ability for said disks to be scratched, broken, or in general, unusable.

Simple, you make an account on their site, and it keeps a record of your purchases, and you can download them again if you need to.

I think what Everay is saying is, why can't a guy just buy the game online and download it, and then get someone else to sign in with their account, and download it to their PC as well?
