Did you honestly go expecting that movie to contain plot and real acting? Honestly look at the previous two... Your are a victim of your own expectations not the producers of the movie. The second 2 matrix's were unoriginal and boring (Except for fight scenes, witch were fun) and I enjoyed them because I EXPECTED that. True the first was more a complilation and expansion of tron but it still had one ok actor (smith, his hatred of humans came over rather well) and was entertaining even in the non-combat areas.

My point is that if you go into a movie expecting chactor developement, plot, acting, and realistic plot twists go see "The Journal". If you want booms and cool looking fights then... well see AvP.
