depends on how many FPS youre using. Ive been hit by airsoft pellets going only like 180 fps, and that can hurt quite alot. although my brother just put the barrel up to my cheek while I was sleeping, so if I had more adrenaline, it wouldnt have been so bad.

Jet, I play within the NEASG, North Eastern Airsoft Group. They have fields all over the NE. They have big ops like that one (not at an airbase, but still.) With hundreds of people attending some of them.
