I once threw a contact at my bathroom mirror because I couldnt get it in. After 2 days it got all-glassy and stuff, I squished it with my thumb and got cut.

Contacts are fucking great once your eyes adjust, takes around 2 weeks for them to fully adjust.

it's not hygiene i'm worried about - it's stuff like getting gun powder / metal shards / sand behind the lenses.

You'd look hot in contacts. Your blue eyes are too hidden behind glasses, imo.

yea well, thats definately something to worry about. getting dust in contacts=bad. they stick to your eye lid and move around every time you blink, its torturous. just be a little more careful when wearing them. you shouldnt get metal shards and gunpowder in your eyes anyway.

Few things:

First off, contacts are too much work. I hardly ever wear them because of it. Outside, my eyes get all fucked up because of the humity, screws up the liquid balance in my eyes, so they its starts to BURRRRN. You will have to buy some "comfort drops"

Second, If anyone does get contacts, I highly, highly HIGHLY suggest that you get the disposiable daily kind. Its much better that way.

But, IMO, contacts are more of a pain then glasses. Your eye itchs, you rub it, PHOOFF contact is missalligned, so now you cant see right, and it hurts.

If you want to invest money in getting rid of contacts, get lasik. Sure, its 5k, but its worth it
