I suspect certain ports must be opened.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.

dosent help. i set a port (56) and opepend it up via firewall and couldnt do crap.

it may not be the game for you people anyways, its not like freelancer, if its in space, i doubt it will be like freelancer. this game isnt even like Homeworld, its more deep than that. this game IMO will get a cult following, but a small one. the graphics though, are fuckin stellar, it looks real purty. thats about as much as im gonna explain it.

its doesnt need to be complex, but you can play it complex, you can control everything on your ships, from what weapon is fireing at what enemy, to what weapon is fireing at what part of said enemy ship, power to engines sheilds and weapons, when to launch fighters or bombers, what weapons you want fireing at all, any special abilities the ship may have, like one of em has a large sheild, ect ect.

I hate how you can't rotate the screen: view is stuck on one object.

moving is really unimportant, you let you AI do that, whats important is picking targets, selecting what weapon for what target, wether to go for their sheilds or attempt to break through the sheilds and go for the hull ( depending on the weapons installed on the ship, pretty much its Anti Hull, Anti Sheilds, and Will prolly break through shields and hit the hull)
