Absolutely, they seem to cater to individuals. I can't for the life of me figure out why the most powerful weapons in the game need only one person.

I want a Vanguard that can be operated like a Lightning in TR colors.

Their not listenening to the true playerbase, the core (most have left, or are in the process of leaving), and it really ticks me off. There are many games that I can buy that PS is evololving to (devolving from team tactics).

If taking down BFR's are the new "team tactic" PS will no longer get my money. Have fun with merits.

Planetside is not true to it's original form, and it deeply saddens me.

I'm sorry about my pessimism. But I hate what PS is becoming. The devs are not, and have not, listened to what makes (made?) the game strong. Playerbase, teamplay.

It's simply too late to implement the inner-working tools that were needed before BFR's.

Put that in your dev-chat pipe and smoke it.

P.S. if my being blunt offends you, then do what you must.

BFRs require more teamplay to take down than any other vehicle.

And the merits are a long time coming. As you're probably not aware of (because you don't agree) people like to have long term goals and stuff to work toward. That's what merits, after all this time, do. They are a very necessary addition and will improve Planetside a lot if they're implimented well.

I think he's saying that BFR's take teamwork and tactics to take down, but don't take either to run around solo in one and blast people all day.

They're not that bad now, though. You actually do need support if you're in a BFR if the enemy is smart.

It doesn't read like that's how he meant it, but even if he did, you'd be right. You can't just run into a fight with them like you used to be able to do. And you certainly do fear infantry now as well.

So I should have to play "bring down the BFR" instead of what I used to love, PS?

BFRs aren't nearly as popular as they were, and that's only going to become more and more true as time passes. Any legitimate concerns you may have had about BFRs taking over the game should have dissolved during the aftermath of the last patch.

You implied that they were by remarking that you "have to play bring down the BFR instead of what you used love", implying that the old PS no longer exists and that your gameplay now revolves around destroying BFRs.

lol If someone had just said that from the beginning, this thread could have been a lot shorter.

Thankfully, Idealab isn't just about ideas, so should my concepts gather dust in their wastebaskets I'm not going to take it personally. Too many other things coming to the site.
