I just broke 100 bfr kills with only agile/deci, after this patch I think I will drop AV.

Personally, I like the idea that they require the teamwork now before they let you get the solo one. I would almost have prefered the starting bfr have no driver guns, and only after 15-20 driver assists would they get the ability to get driver guns and flight varient. Still, this is good.

As it is, I barely see gunner varients, its just the non-adv and flights everywhere. Now with gunners everywhere, and probably fewer of them, I think the number of agile-hotdroppers will be cut too because gunner varients can't get solo'd as easily.

A lone cloaker can devestate backfield support (Snipers and AV troopers).

With an AMP I can take out 4-5 guys regularly before dying (usually to my own side...)

They are a harder loadout to master, but once you get their abilities down, at least for me, its much more effective than Reinforced Armor and a Heavy Assault weapon.

Funny story...

We were in the caves having a fight, the TR had a hack on one of the bases and were surrounding it with mossies and a couple of Maxes.

One of my squaddies had his cloaker suit on and decided to check it out. Not only did he get past the mossie and Max surrounding the outside of the base he also managed to sneak past the 3 TR rexos stood next to the CC and rehacked it back

An idea for a cloaker toy...

An invisible sticky camera. A cloaker has an item in his inventory, the size of an ammo boz so only taking 1 slot, which he can stick to a wall. This then becomes a camera and in place of the original item he now has a monitor in which he can use to spot any incoming enemies.

This would be great for keeping an eye out on corridors and the putside of bases etc. when people have a hack on or are guarding the gen, or in other such circumstances.

The camera would be invisible but picked up with dark light and destroyed with 1 or 2 shots.

Only cloakers could use them.

Let me know what you think.

Whoa wussy weapons? Dual Haammers on the NC flight varient pwn all. I can even take out those idiots that try to kill me with the cannon on the lib. I really havent noticed any difference, I though I would. I still last the entire night, even through big battles. Also I was at the cery cap last night on Markov and saw about 30 flight varients of all empires, so I doubt they will go away. It is not a POS. You know I remember people all mad about the lightning back in the day because it was a one man veh with substantial power, I got my BR 20 with it, then it got nerfed and slowly it has been buffed. I also remember people whining about its weak armor, but my skill with it made it a viable tool for me. Eventually the same thing will happen with BFR's.

Doesn't mean you don't need the 100 kills, just that instead of a streak of 20 kills, you need 15 now.
i'm not arguwing but how does that work now with no normal bfr?????

The unadvanced BFR cert gives you the gunner varient. After the 100 kills and 15 streak you gain access to the flight varient

meh, BFR's..

instead of bitching about how powerful they are, perhaps some people should have developed some great TEAM based anti-bfr tactics. two or three guys solo-ing it with Deci's is not good anti-bfr tactics, contrary to popular belief. and, i think the deci rocket is too slow.. anyone else feel the same way?

Which is of course why they're being nerfed, but then, I wasn't talking about the weapons being weak currently, I was talking about what they'd be like post-patch. The pilot weapons are all being made less effective. So the flights will have less shielding, less armor, and weaker weapons.

Thank god, some sanity has returned to the dev team. At the rate we were bleeding folks, I figured PS was heading for a shutdown. Now, this will force folks to be team players in those BFRs (which should have been done from the start).

Of course, they can still screw this all up with adv merits, and they probably will.

Anyway, for now we can enjoy a small return to sanity and enjoy the game for a while more.

This is a great idea, I hope this will help the 50+ BFR problem on the battlefield.

I am oh so happy to hear this news. This will help infantry out alot. The only problem is, is that the only ones we can kill, can focus on two targets at once. But they will be much slower, enabling me to under them and deci them to death. Die BFR's.
