Halo did absolutely nothing other games hadn't done before it. It was not revolutionary, heck barely even Evolutionary as it claimed. Maybe for a console, but I'd still take Goldeneye over it any day of the week. I fail to see what all the fuss is about. GTA on the other hand created a new game genre. That of the steal-em-up TB. |

There isnt anything revolutionary about Halo. Halo is a generic shooter that just does everything right. GTA isnt that revolutionary either. Free-roaming, do whatever games have been around since Fallout and previous to that even. Last edited by JetRaiden; 2004-12-16 at 08:35 PM. |

People liked Halo cause...well, I dunno. It is overrated but it IS a good game.
Something about it really made the first one good though. It might have been the brilliant story, pistol schematics, maps, I dunno. Halo/H2 are good games but not omghueg games.

Halo is a great series, but it's not The Second Coming as some of my friends say.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
