Actually Sputty, in most cases I have less harsh views of women than I do of men for the same actions.

This, however, is not one of those cases. If a man committed this crime, people would be calling for his blood, and I expect this woman recieve the same punishment that would be expected for a man.

As I understand it, they have some pretty good forensic evidence. If they can show that in court and prove the bitch guilty, I hope the jurors have the good sense to kill her. This is a heinous crime, and deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of American law.

In this case, assuming that the evidence is totally sound, then she should be killed. The only reason that I'm against the death penalty is because it can be performed (unwittingly, sortof) on an innocent.

And yet if we made executions longer and more painful, we'd have the same people whining and bitching about torture or somesuch. You just can't please these people. They'll never say they need to make prisons nicer, but you aren't allowed to make executions more painful. What's the deal? Makes little sense. It's A-okay to make prisons unpleasant because they did bad shit to get in there and they'll stay alive, but they don't want either swift or long executions. Seems to me that that'd make you some kind of sadistic bastards. But never forget, if you're a liberal who claims to be a wonderful pacifist but treats criminals like shit in prison to keep them alive, it's far better than a conservative who figures if you fuck up bad, you need to be killed.

this is all over the news here, and now they are even trying to pass some kind of new amber allert law that allows for the calling of an amber alert even if you can't give a description of the child.

It is a very wierd story, it's liek somethign out of a sci-fi movie.

this kinda happened once before but differently....husband and pregnant wife were in a horrible car crash, the mothers stomach was cut open and the baby was hanging out, but the paramedics were able to save the baby although the mother died. the father was ok. he named the baby after the emt who saved him.
