Sun (n.) n.

1. See Sunn.
2. The luminous orb, the light of which constitutes day, and its absence night; the central body round which the earth and planets revolve, by which they are held in their orbits, and from which they receive light and heat. Its mean distance from the earth is about 92,500,000 miles, and its diameter about 860,000.
3. Any heavenly body which forms the center of a system of orbs.
4. The direct light or warmth of the sun; sunshine.
5. That which resembles the sun, as in splendor or importance; any source of light, warmth, or animation.
6. To expose to the sun's rays; to warm or dry in the sun; as, to sun cloth; to sun grain.

I would like to direct your attention to number 3, thank you.

Lol abra, you made up that answer, and yet you get mad when I call the notion idiotic. You know you were just spewing BS, admitted to it too, so who cares? And yes I COULD just imagine there's a sun up there (or just not look up), but considering the detail put into this game, you'd think they'd address it.
According to christians he is the God.

Anyways, Dave said that there is a sun during the AGN interview I belive. However, there is not curently lens flare casusd by the sun in the game, even though it is possible to impement.

i actually think that a sun is just a star that has orbitting planets. If it isn't then there should be a name for a star like that, cause if there isn't, it's stupid. I think that our "sun" actually has a different name, but i'm not sure

Hmmm, so I looked up the definition of sun, and you looked up the history of OUR sun. Sorry, but I still win.

Besides, you cut yours off. What was that next definition? The B one. Unless " b : a celestial body like the sun" was all of it, which still means I'm right. A celestial body like the sun = a star surrounded by planets, thus definition number 3 in my post. Thanks for backing me up.

Lol, I thought by winning I earned the right to be a jack ass. Damn it, what's the benefits of winning an argument on a forum if I can't rub it in the other guy's face?

*tries to accept his trophy gracefully but trips over his own feet and falls off the stage into the orchestra pit*

DAMN IT!!!!

Just a BTW

If you take into effect the basic rules of logic and procedures of the English language, any word can have any implied definition, so long as the word is understood by both parties involved directly in the discussion, it is a valid use of the word. Words convey ideas, and descriptions, thus they are not meant to be used as a sole definition or account of one object/idea, instead they are meant to attempt to bring a basic understanding and equal identity to those involved.

Thus the definitions has no real relevance since all those involved understood the meaning behind the discussion.

Now everyone be happy since everyone is right
This is just the old argument of definitions vs implied definitions

yeah, I know. I've written papers on this very topic. About how words actually have zero meaning whatsoever.

Just where did you see that?

The Sun is our sun, thats the name of the stars which we orbit. Just because people cant think as abstract to believe that some stars actually have planets like earth orbiting them, cause their just small white dots on the night sky, and they instead call every star a sun, doesnt make it right - it makes it comprehensible to the unenlightened masses. There is only one Sun (is that spelled with a capital S on English?) and therell never be more, only less (as in none).

And you probably believe there only is and only will be ONE God, right? Where did I see that? Ever hear of a dictionary? I copied and pasted it from allwords.com rather than opening mine and copying out the definition.

As for words having no meaning, in that case your an ass pirate, so you can make it however you want. I meant it in the nicest way possible, lol j/k
