Again, I am not worrying about this until points are more certain, since it can completely change how I create my character.
Also, like mentioned before, that cert calculator is a TOTAL guestimate. There is really very little fact behind it other then most certs costs 2-3 points, and there is 1 pre-requisite tops for each cert. Basically it is a template until he has more information. |

So there's no advanced weapon specs such as specializing in a specific weapon to improve accuracy or anything? In other words you spend points to use a weapon and that's as far as you can go with that weapon?
It seems like people won't be very specialized at all and everyone will be able to be good at almost everything if that calculator is anywhere close to how it will be. |

From looking at said sheet you could become a jack of all trades, and master at none. Or you could specilise say like a pilot, or a ***** and be much more useful. Cause what good is flying a galaxy when you can't fix it. Some times a sunderer will need cover, and the galaxy won't be able to do that real well. If your ship gets wacked and you punch out. Your gonna need a weap/armor combo to make it back alive

Everyone's probably going to want to have agile and probably medium armor, simply because it gives you the versatility to do almost anything because of the ability to use lots of weapons. Hacking would also be good for anyone who's not going max and plans to be infantry. However, according to Hamma, I believe, you can get about half the certs with the 21 points you get, so you can specialize in something and then dabble in a little bit of everything to maintain some versatility. Or you could specialize in two roles (pilot/inf suit/medium armor, here

AMS does require a cert. It is the ANT that does not require a cert.

A vet will be on the same playing field as a newb, with the exception the vet will have a few more guns to play with. |
