yea, it might be easier to just represent yourself. Judges have compassion just like anybody else.

Just go and try to do it yourself and don't complain about it. If all you do is complain and do nothing then you are a weak weak man.

Do what? Take on her lawyer in court?

Yeah... that's a bright plan.

If she doesnt show up and the lawyer does, thats points for you. She might get too sure of herself.

I dont know her though, do what you feel you need to do. But I thought the idea was to present your lack of ability to pay even more CS, not throw money at a court battle. The judge matters, if the judge tends to side with women, a lawyer on your side just evens the field, but if you dont bring your own lawyer, you might get tilted in your favor.

In all honesty, the only reason having a lawyer worked for my dad, was that my mom was such a fuck up she practically did all the convincing herself. And it was about custody. Being able to afford a lawyer in a custody battle shows financial security.

But showing financial security when trying to fight a $100 per month increase in CS...not a tactic I'd personally recommend.

Oh and it isn't her lawyer nor even her that you have to focus on. As far as you should be concerned, its just you and the judge. 'Losing it' trying to fight her or her lawyer will just reinforce her case...as mentioned before, judges are human.

Oh... I'm sorry I thought I was talking to a man...

I should get my eyes checked since it looks like you're just a blubbering pussy: "Oh it's in kansas! I'll just let my ex wife have all my god damn money so she can go bang someone else and take care of my kid!"

Fuck make a man out of yourself and look at your options...

1. You do something about it, research your case and might be able to win something out of it.

2. You cry in your corner and admit to your wife she can do you up the ass without you putting up a fight. Wich is basicly gonna lead her to do it more often.

Winning against a lawyer is not unheard of. Make a man of yourself, grow some balls.

Gio, Lawyers go to school for how many years to get their JD?

Honestly, what kind of experiance do YOU have in custody cases?

Kansas and Texas are up to 15-16 hours away form eachother.
You go ahead and make that drive to court all the time, while keeping your job.

I'm just saying, if he wants to be on his knees for the rest of his life... then yeah... don't fight it.

If you can't afford a god damn lawyer then you defend yourself, get as much info as you can and do the best you can... at worse... you'll have to pay what she asked for... better to die fighting then giving up. Hell if you do something properly you might wind up paying less.

Also, I'm pretty sure there's something you could do about the distance.

Gio, I have a 1500 dollar retainer on a good lawyer. We are building a case to fight the Child support.

I can't just go in there half cocked and try to make "my case" against a trained lawyer, he'd eat me alive if he is half a decent lawyer. I finally got her to make a mistake, now it's time to capitalize.

Good boy. I did not have that information.

Hope it goes well for you. I have an uncle in a situation not that different from yours and it's a bitch. Poor guy works two jobs and half his salary goes to that whore of an ex-wife who made him lose his entire business.
