Again, I think that Planetside 2 will be free to play, and that you can spend money to double your earned XP and double the speed of leveling skills. If this is the case, I will absolutely be buying the biggest package possible. But, let's say that the game is NOT Free-to-Play, but is instead a game you purchase. I would still want this feature. Let the game cost $85 instead of $59.99, or whatever, and have Collector's Edition players permanently gain double XP and enjoy double leveling speed.
This isnt WOW, Global Agenda or LOL. Whatever of the F2P aspect of this game will probably be much like the PS: Reserves.

I want full suits of extremely detailed armor to wear for sale.

Want to raise Planetside awareness? Make it so we can totally go overkill at a hallowe'en party clomping around in a MAX suit or RExo.

Even just the helmets would make a FINE addition to my physical desktop.

As an alternative, functioning knives. Easiest would be the Vanu and NC. Hardest would be the chainblade.

Realistic replica ammunition boxes. Realistic replica ammunition. Paintball guns that are exact replicas of our fave weapons.

C'mon, Sony, think moichendising!

Here's a practical idea:

PlanetSide 2 'HARDCORE' Edition:

- Fake Maternity Leave form - granting 12 months of living on state benefits!

- Daily local takeaway delivery

- DIY Filipino boy to help train certs while you're asleep

- 'How to power-nap during a base hack' booklet

A map would be a must, but is nothing new.

I really like the voice macro thing. If I had a keychain that said "I will defend our deployables!" or any of the seldom used macros, I would ware it out in a day.

I would like to see some in game bonuses, but cosmetic only of course. Maybe I can put tank treads on my deliverer, different colored jetfire on my Reaver, or pink fuzzy slippers

If they had pets in this game that would actually be both really cute an funny. To have a little none combat BFR pet following you. Could even say they changed their minds an BFR's are back in the game an wait a day before clarifying. Though that would cost them pre-orders haha.

But anyway I suspect the bonus will probably be some kind of unique cosmetic crap. Physical stuff will be artbook, soundtrack, mousepad an other boring stuff.

My mouse mats for the last 4 years have consisted of the WoW collector's edition mouse mats (with the maps on them). Such a thing would be welcomed by me in a PS2 CE (as opposed to a paper map that ends up lost and torn).

1) map
2) planetside themed "bucket 'o soliders" (no dumb ones like the binocular guy or the one that you could never get to stand up)
3) exclusive "papa smurf" NC outfit

thats about it.

I'd like extra beard colours like purple or rainbow.

I used to love the ones who couldn't stand up. Even though they had two working legs when they came into this man's Green Army, for some reason they decided to become lazy once basic was done. So want to know what I did with them?

They became front line fodder for the incoming attack. Best use the lazy for something beneficial for all, than to have them sit in the rear complaining.

In all seriousness though, here's what I'd love to see inside a Collector's Edition Planetside 2

1. Comes in an MRE Tin with your faction's logo on it (think Band of Brothers collectors edition)
2. Miniature MAX unit you can put on your desk
3. An in-game designation
4. Soundtrack and in-game voice macros
5. The EULA to state that I can record in-game action and edit the movie once I'm done. I don't want to have to explain to Sony lawyers why I've got the #1 YouTube sensation and that Steven Spielburg is flying me out to California to go over his next project: Planetside: Auraxis Twilight.
5a. Vegas Movie Studio

I'd be content with 1 and 2 though.

But in all seriousness....Maybe a poster? Some artbook like you mentioned. The only special edition game I ever bought was Halo 2 and it came in a tin case and had a DVD along with it. Wasn't really worth it.

I want everything in this thread, but primarily a giant bad ass map i can spread out on a coffee table and smoke a cigar over while pointing at random location's and shouting into my headset. As for a physical copy of the game, yes please. I like the tangibility of it. It adds to the excitement and fun. I still keep my original planetside box on my mantle.
