Honestly? I want to see objectives.
Give Cloakers the ability to take down a base's shield or other areas, disable a vehicle or equipment term at a distance. make it much more than just the following options (taking down the gen/draining the base/hacking the CC/kill everyone) to increase variety of points to attack and exploit. make hacking more involved than just dealing with a bar going across the screen. Deus Ex's Human Revolution would be a good place to start. allow greater and wider range of stuff to sabotage other vehicles with (the ability to plant a boomer on the back of a Vanny then blow it up). give Cloakers more crap to do and you will see the play style start to evolve. Make it hard, Make it Challenging, and make it Satisfying. Last edited by ShockNC; 2011-12-09 at 02:29 AM. |

We know that cloakers are getting some form of explosives, but I would be surprised if the default cloaking/sniping class could get much in the way of engineering abilities. |

the only thing I'd like to see is if the stealther is on YOUR side, you can see him
I got quiet a bit of hate tells from cloakers sneaking up on people only to take my sniper round because they were between me and the target. Lots of them didn't accept my apologies of "Hey you were invisible, deal with it" If it's not practical to have same faction see their cloakers then maybe just a warning sign on the load in screen - You want to play the invisible guy, fine but deal with the ramifacations of your choice

I also would love to see some kind of hacking mini game that rewards skill so a good experienced hacker can achieve more, or do it quicker than a new guy. I wouldnt want to see something created that becomes very boring and repetitive over time though so it would have to be quite dynamic. Stealth mods for vehicle and infantry loadouts would also be welcome. |

Don't really care for the hacking mini game idea. The hacking without getting shot is enough. Try keeping a lookout or listening while hacking. A whole platoon waiting for you to put the puzzle together to get in the door.

Having a full strength platoon without any half decent hackers would just be bad prep on their part, like not taking any medics. And hacking something like a door lock should be fairly straight forward anyway or simply have a brute force breach option for poor hackers or people who cba that 100% succeeds but results in detection. I dont think hacking should just be limited to an infiltration class, especially doors. They just have far more buffs and tools/gadgets to do a better job and access to more hackable objectives and targets with more hack related options. |

That doesn't really apply here since the optical camo works like the Predator's. Meaning your body becomes transparent and the only way you will be spotted usually is if you move. Since Human eye is designed to pick up on slight movement. Though the movement will already be harder to spot in the dark most likely. Makes me think Cloakers will probably have an easy time of it during the night cycle. Anyway reading some suggestion like remote detonated explosives gives me flashbacks of Battlefield. Where Recon class detpack bullcrap was infuriating. Though if they add buggies back into Planetside 2 I would definitely like to be able to put detpacks on the hood an go kamikaze. |

No infantry should show up on radar, period. If you want to know where enemies are, instead of sitting by your camping self around a corner slurping lard shakes and gulping McDonalds food, try moving around and LOOKING.
Vehicles are the only things that should show up on radar. No MAX's, (what, you're too stupid to be able to see one with your eyes?) No Heavy, Light, or Infiltrators. Radar showing where infantry is made indoor battles a stupid, brainless splatterfest where you didn't even have to see anything but the radar to pull the trigger. The idea that any infantry should show up on any radar is ridiculous. That cloakers ever would was unbelievably stupid. Find your enemies by looking and listening. And I don't mean the radar amplifier mistakenly called Audio Amp, either. And for those who think I am speaking from the standpoint of available technology, I'm not. I'm speaking about the gameplay mechanic. It ruins the game for many when you are rewarded for crouch-walking around to avoid detection instead of people being able to run and gun. Bold frontal assaults should be rewarded more than having to have the entire empire sneaking around quietly in case the OMG Audio Amp walking radar station dude sees where you are on radar. This is a first-person shooter, not a tenth-person camper. Soldiers should be able to charge into battle and surprise enemies by suddenly bursting around a corner, as this encourages action and excitement. Having Audio Amp, or any way whatsoever for enemies to show up on a radar screen rewards lazy, brainless killwhores for corner-camping, and dulls the game for everyone else.
