Would be better to have the ammo save as the default. If you mess up, you can just double tap again and bypass the long reload and use the short one. If long reload was a double tap, and short one was a single keypress, you'd lose ammo messing up.

Hold key would work as well. This could also be a toggle.


Tbh, they should just make double tap and hold a bindable option for keys. Theres things it would be pretty good for. Press G to throw grenade. Double tap/hold G to switch to grenade, for instance. Be able to compress 2 weapons/actions into a bind so you don't have to reach across for the 6-0 keys, etc.

Each weapon on your loadout will have its own self-contained ammo pool.

Having to runback to a terminal is an uneeded chore, lets just hope whoever is in control of dropping the ammo in this game isn't retarded like every support in BF3.

Personally I like having that level of logistics in the game. You're acting like you'll be running out after firing a few bullets. Like I said in the other thread I'd prefer stuff like 5 magazines. That's enough to try to kill 5 people and then switch to a side-arm with enough ammo to kill another 5 probably. Having to then re-supply isn't asking much especially if you're around other players. If the game has support experience it will be huge incentive also to help others when they v-n-ammo.

Then again if you're a sniper on the top of a hill by yourself or an infiltrator I could see the problem.

Maybe beancounting is too "hardcore", but I'd welcome the option to have tactical reload and speed reload.

With tactical reload, you conserve the ammo left in your magazine. (normal/slow animation) With speed reload you decide to waste the half-empty clip and insert the full mag faster.

When you shoot your weapon dry, your animation is always the fast reload.

Maybe some skills would be implemented to speed up tactical reload too. Or make speed reload even faster.
