Since we know almost zero about the PS2 Game Mechanics, this response is based on the current incarnation of Planetside: Aftermath.
Three words... Stealth Assault Engineer Stealth Assault Engineer is one of the more frustrating out of balance builds as a ground pounder you have to deal with. Because it makes perfect sense that someone can move at the same rate as you (via an implant) under stealth and then perform an action (like placing a mine or a turrent) and never become visible. Of course they are standing right near you and use it in order to drop the mine or turret and stealth gank you. Predator like light wave variance to give the effect of a "shimmering outline" is going to be one of the harder things to find balance with. It's ripe for abuse in an unbalanced game mechanic scenario. But as we don't know squat really about the nutz and boltz of PlanetSide 2 and what we mostly get is still shots that drive more questions then answers, who the fuck really knows if this is a better recon or sniper position. For me personally, I prefer elevation and topography to my advantage when I do snipe. Tracking someone on the Z-Axis is a pro skill and most run and gunners are focused on what is on there linear line of sight. Last edited by Tasorin; 2012-02-01 at 12:36 PM. |

Did anyone else think about a cliche horror movie moment looking at this ss? I'm talking about the part where a girl and a guy are about to get fukeefukee inside a car and the guy gets eaten...
EDIT: just imagine the same screenshot at nighttime... |

I'd take it for Recon, not sure how suitable it would be for a sniper.
Once I start to "pew pew" peeps are gonna find me fast (aerial comes to mind), but just some "peeping" might be safer to hold onto this spot and provide target lazing or troop deployment intel etc. *edit: and just like that I had a new desktop wallpaper :P Last edited by Logri; 2012-02-01 at 01:27 PM. |
