Now that you mention it, that's one hell of a good question.

Wait actually that's the cert screen.
It allows to use some pieces of sidegrades that you then have to fit on your vehicle in another screen: that's where the drawbacks are.

If I read that UI well, he either has one more Cert Point to spend on the vehicle, or the one he purchased was one Cert Point (right side). Either way, all the applied upgrades are highlighted with white. Some of those upgrades are not highlighted even if there's one highlighted down the tree (ammo capacity increase).

He probably has 207 CP available for everything in total, otherwise that'd be a bit silly.

Since it's selected, the top right is reload speed difference. Thought it'd be something like bailing mechanism since the icon looks a bit like a suit. >.>

Would expect the hull icons to be handling and armour upgrades.

The other two icons are probably weapon types and ammo related (carry more, hit harder, flares, etc).

Either way, I had expected things like slider bars for the tuning. Seems like you have to first unlock (linearly through the tree) and then select certain skills.

No that's for when we get our new transport vehicle that looks like it's from Star Wars.

You would have to start with 100 rockets, to feel 1% increase. But i suspect more like 20-30 to start with, 40-50 maxed. That would be way over 20% on single upgrade branch. And anything less wouldnt be worth upgrading.

Will we e still able to configure loadout for weapons? Like more ammo for canon and less rockets (if you want dogfight rather than kill tanks).

In regards to the upgrading, There are 5 of each, so I would assume +4% ?

The icons on the right strike an ironic resemblance to the little birdie desktop ICON if you ask me......So then maybe I will get some pigeon escorts to do some dive bombing and crap on windshields before I go in for my rocket pod run :P The more you upgrade it=the more pidgeons= more pigeon shit!!! Pigeon shit FTW!!!!

right??

Why do you lot assume they're the same things?

They probably do something like DCUO, where you unlock stuff in order, then select the ability you want to use.

It could be that you unlock those upgrades, but in the end you could choose only like 4-5 of them. Making difference between them for each player. But still its much stronger than newbies one.

Icons are
Sec weapon ammo
Armor? guessing
Primary weapon ammo
Reload speed

Still there is nowhere way to trade speed for armor and other way. Unless all upgrades have hidden disadvantages. Then you select right upgrades at vehicle terminal to apply to current vehicle. I understand certs as a unlocking upgrades/sidegrades and then you choose them later.

Hmm maybe this is only upgrades. Arent sidegrades payed with resources?

Ooh, there's a tantalizing thought. I was a bit dissapointed at how small the tree apparently was, but I hadn't thought of what you said.

If you blindly assume that any of them increase your ammo capacity, yes.

Well they said there is hundredths or even thousandth of certs. Reaver have 20 (there is scrollbar so like 2 are hidden). Lets expect 20 per vehicle that like 250 certs.
Hope in more complex for classes (100 per) + something for uniclass trees (leader, hacker), and we are nearing 1000 certs. It looks small but in the end there is plenty of them. But i really expected that tree to be more complex and branched.
