it´s very confusing.
maybe it´s time for cpt. higlo again, to give us a little more details about that. will pulling the naked tanks cost ressources? (no info yet) will unlocking modifications cost ressources? ( we got a yes at agn) will changing from one unlocked mod to another cost? (i believe we got a no at agn) i think for weapons we got the info that you have to unlock them with ressources one time and then they are free forever. same with weapon custos. but how about vehicles?

The resources come from capturing certain area's of the map i.e (but obviously this is blollox) each hex is worth 1 resource per minute, the mine and factory hex' are worth 2, or something

Well if they do cost money for every vehicle, then this will quickly become either Vehicleside ( Tanks will be as OP as original Biffers ) or Infantryside ( no one will waste money on a vehicle that can easily be destroyed by AV )

NOT MONEY, RESOURCES. Resources are in game currency earned by things you do in game.
Yes you gain x amount for owning a resource node every y amount of time, but they also said they may use other ways to gain them. Taking bases might grant a large chunk and they said they might add the ability to salvage some from a destroyed vehicle (again MAYBE, not implemented yet). And if you want to do dailies like the WoW kiddies do to earn enough gold to buy a dozen tanks, then you go right ahead. I expect to be given the option to continue to pay my $15 a month and get everything.

Resources, as I understand them in the context of vehicles, work somewhat like a cool down timer. It's a better system because it forces people to carry their weight, and it's not as rigid as a straight up countdown. Hokay, time to clear this up:
I assume you folks already know about the class and Br stuff, as it has been explained multiple times. But, as for ressources, weapons and vehicles: For weapons, this is the case: Once you learned the skill to use a laser attachment on your Pulsar, you need to unlock said attachment. For this, you spend ressources, once. Once spend, you have that laser attachment, and can always get it for free. Now, for vehicles: Nothing has been said really. But there are two options: They work like the guns, means spending ressources just once and then be always able to get the neat stuff, or they work different, and you have to spend ressources every time you want the neat stuff. But heres the thing: You can still get a tank for free. The basic loadout, for tanks that mean no additinal Horsepower/armor/whatever, AV gun for the driver and AI gun for the gunner (according to latest PC Gamer Article), would still be free, and you can always get one if you need one. Now, changing the AI gunner gun to a AV gun would cost ressources (as said maybe once, maybe everytime you pull that tank loadout). This should be pretty accurate. Gotta get higby to confirm/deny/explain better. :> |
