I really am worried about the VS standing out. Neon blue "camouflage" and glowing weapons seem like such a huge disadvantage. |

I mean grey is a neutral color. Yellow is not. Try dressing all yellow and go hunting. You'll scare even a colorblind animal. |

I didn't say they should look like banana kroot. I'm just saying the benefit of making a sci-fi game is that you aren't constrained by realism. What's the point of having a sci-fi setting, if not to make things look cooler than what we have in reality?

The worst thing they could do is go about actually trying to make serious camouflage patterns for armor. It would be amazingly silly seeing a line of guys wearing bright blue and yellow armor next to some asshole with digital beige/brown desert camouflaged armor. They need to either stick to realistic, banal character designs or cool, sci-fi/fantasy character designs. Mixing the two would be very jarring and look terrible. I don't think target identification should be a snap.
You should need to think. Is the armor smooth, sleek? Bulky? ...Fishy? I think camouflage is essential. Fuck color identification. (although ATID for friendlies would be nice)

I know TR looked kind of grey in planetside 2 in the beggining.
But they really look too grey......Even in planetside 1 the grey armor had alittle bit of red and black. Also NC being grey just makes it horrible since they look alike. Vanu is the only armor sporting the vanu color. |

We've seen "enough" blue and yellow on higher level NC armor, but I've yet to see a picture of TR that actually had black and red in it. It's usually just grey and some red, or then they just havnt really shown us the higher level stuff yet.

I been seeing a gold or kind of brownish grey TR with spikes on the head.........I really hope this isn't the high level TR.
I yet to see a black and Red TR....I have seen a couple of blue and yellow NC tho. WTF? this is bullshit if TR isn't black and Red. |

Targeting is not limited to visual identification. Let's be honest here - in Planetside the vast majority of players looked for a red name or a red dot on a map. Anything with a green name was obviously friendly.

I am dispointed that SOE didn't give us black n red TR or Blue n Yellow NC........
I know TR was grey in the beginning levels of Planetside but TR is known as black n red but in this game they are mostly grey. NC is mostly brownish. I was hoping they will at the very least let us unclock skins like in Planetside 1 when you level up but it seems like it aint gonna happen. |
