Realistically, you never see much of other peoples' weapons in shooters. Weapon customization is more for the person wielding the weapon than anything else. I suppose you'll notice the gun of an adversary that kills you (depending on how they implement the killcam), but other than that, you're rarely close enough to another player to get a good look at what they've got in their hands.

Things like this have a spot as the priciest items in the cash shop. Or maybe something just rewarded after spending $100. I know NC have the "slapped together" look, but you have to give them other options with additional skins.

I'd love a nickle plated or flat black version of this

Well so far we know about different skins that can be bought for weapons and vehicles. It's likely that they'll add in things that can be worn on the player in some way as well.
