Why play a light assault when you can breach walls and get to rooftops while invisible?
The cloaker's strengths are its cloak. Giving it the strengths of light assault would be as unfair as giving light assault a cloak. Doing either obviates one of the classes and subsumes its role to a now-superior class.

The cloaker's strength should be infiltration. Cloaking should merely be a tool towards that end. At the moment, i think the dev team is blurring their own lines and train of thought based on of course nothing but the little bits of information that we recieve as possible customers.
It would not be unfair to Light Assault if cloakers could glide or scale walls for the following reasons:
- Cloakers can't jump instantly to new heights
- Don't have smoke bombs apparently
- No Armor/Shields still
- Likely less effective medium/close range weapons
- Infiltrators are not assaulters, even with the ability to manuver
- Before Light Assasutl existed in this form, Cloakers had the most infantry manuverability and that was never considered "unfair"
The idea is not to steal what the Light Assault has, but to borrow one of it's ideas (and not even a full version of it perhaps) To assist in Infiltration and only that. Yes... all jump jets could hlep with that, but i'm only suggesting something like a glide suit because it would simply allow ground based movements to be easier. And technically, gliding is not vertical movement at all. It is an enhanced/different form of horizontal movement. I'm nto evne entirely sure why Light Assault would have this to begin with. It seems rather unecessary for them given the various forms of vertical movement that they do possess.
