I voted yes also, the idea of being able to supply troops in the field is absolutely awesome. I completely support this Idea. My only pause is the "This could be something special and as simple to pick up as just running it over." I lean towards the make them pick it up and load it into the vehicle. Running over supply drops is just way to arcade imo. I'll even go a step further saying that you should have the ability to capture/ use enemy supply drops if you are able to over run them at the drop points.

Resupply was in PS1. Hacking Terminals, and Engineers could place ammo terminals as well as ammo/equipment swap or looting.
I do not understand this need to water down classes or make everything a jack of all trades, or make everything "automatic" ( Shields, ammo "regen".... ) If anything, this suggestion needs to be Engineer only, and needs to be a static deploy-able that the user must interact. |

The Assault troops will be able to drop ammo bags on the ground anyways? Why would you need to have a vehicle drop in supplies for troops?
I can understand dropping containers for vehicles, but how would the drivers/gunners "pick up" this ammo? There wouldn't be a viable way that would fit with PS2's gaming mechanic... But in the end how is this really different to the Galaxy's and other vehicle that are in essence support vehicles? With spawn points and equipment terminals attached to them? |

Its more of a contingency type option imo for ppl who would want something like that. You need to remember. There isn't always going to be a galaxy or a sundy in the area. Sometimes you and your mates might be heading out to a AO or dug in out in no mans land. I could see a viable use for it even tho some ppl can't. Last edited by Hmr85; 2012-04-03 at 10:58 AM. |

And I doubt you'll be without any volunteers. Playing a support character in PS1, for example 1 of the certs I'd pick up was the Galaxy, so I could simply fly around the map picking people up and droping them in locations, and I was quite content to do this as long as it was helping the war effort. Absolutely, EVILPIG. I love this idea.
I spent many, maaany hours driving an ANT around to help out the TR back in the day, and sometimes entire play sessions just trying to conceal that perfectly-placed AMS. I'm all over earning exp for support roles. |

I had forgotten about this thing. I'd deployed it often, and it was used, but it was still sort of new to me and I generally was used to using AMS for this sort of things for infantry. Still yes... this is probably the best default solution to field replenishment considering the Gal is the new AMS. If anything... dropping one of these should be the only option and engineers could make it better as normal perhaps?
