(i am going for the Medic) I hope they change idea about the grenade, idk if there is a body cd, but if not it would be easy to die like lemmings inside hacking center with a medic that trows a grenade adn revive a decine of teamates instantly to take the outpost.
I wonder if the grenades hit both sides. I'd like that, even though I want to be a medic. I can imagine throwing a res grenade and hitting 10 VS scum and only 1 friendly.

Engie cant heal, they can just repair veicles and maxs.

Meriv, that is why 'heal' was in quotes. MAX units can be repped by Engineer which, in relation to other infantry, is the equivalent of healing. To list your 'perks' for Medic:
  • Less weaponry and armor than H. Infantry
  • Less mobility than L. Infantry
  • Less utility than Engineer
  • Less awesome-sauce than Infiltrator
  • Healz

Every other class has 'role bonus' + 'something cool.' I'm just saying that thus far, despite my desire to play a support role (specifically a medical support role), I am underwhelmed by the Medic-Luv. Where's my 's?

You guessed it: A dozen combat medics spamming rez grenade!!! Oh, and don't talk about no-holds-barred death-pit fight-club, of course!

If they start making it like TF2 medic or some strange virus spamming or debuffing nonsense I will be upset.

I want a healing tool and a rifle. I am an infantryman who can fight and should the need arise heal and revive my allies. That is what a medic is to me. What else should there be?

Why spamming long CD rez bombs?
There is quite high chance that they will do the same of what happened in BF heores, get 5 medics toghether to get 5 healing AOE, i hope devs will make it non summeable buff.

I love this kind of medic, it remember me the 1942 one with the thompson smg

Ah, forgot to mention, I don't mind healing/revive grenades, as those fall under healing tools IMO, but yeah, only one heal should be in effect at once and the revive grenades should not be spammable (1 per life, or 2 with a minute or two of cool down between them).

Yeah, the 1942/2142 Medic is what I'm thinking of (though in 2142 it was folded in with Assault, but ah well).

Deployable medical station, Medic only vehicle, alternate damage (nanite) rifles, any of a hundred things. Visit planetside-idealab's concept forums if you can track it down, there are literally hundreds of ideas ranging from horrible to outstanding.

If you are an infantryman, play Infantry not Medic. That is the way they have the game set up. I'd prefer the way it was in Planetside, but that's not the direction they went. There are already three full classes for run-and-gun, why are you trying to steal my fun?!

My complaint is not that Medic should have debuffs or strange viruses, it is that the Medic class seems underwhelming compared to the others. Not unbalanced, just... bleh. Very drab and undeveloped.

Not sure what you mean by 'summeable?' The chances that the majority of groups are going to have even one medic seem unlikely. If a full platoon of medics overlapping their healing auras makes them invincible then omgdumb. And, imho, some invincibility exploit is the only way that there would be an overwhelming number of Medics in the game.

Anyways, Planetside downloaded... time to geek out until bedtime!!!

Summeable i mean that each of the team medics spammed one after the other the healing , in this case i was refering to have 5 buffs of healing at the same time making the players quite hard to take them down. It would be even worst in ps2 since the healing AOE reduce even the bullet(soo the damage is reduced) speed as said in one video

I'm looking to play as a combat medic and keeping my squad combat effective - which sometimes will mean kinetic counselling for the enemy and sometimes triage under fire for my squad mates. It will be unlikely that I would spend an entire play session with my "Trauma-Ray" out - been then and done that with other MMOs and its no longer any fun for me.

I personally like the look of the NC medics, although hope I can get my medic looking closer to the female concept art than the male screen shot (I prefer more white on my uniform and like the look of the surgical mask).

It would be nice to see more about what is planned for the medic, as has been mentioned previously, the information has been pretty light on the ground. Plus the class itself was really unrepresented in the E3 streams.

Ok we can speculate
we got this certs.

Combat Medicw
- Suit Modifications
- Nano-healing
- Explosives
- Medical Tools
- Triage

Ok everyone got the suit modification soo i think iprobably will be a bonus armor
-Nano healing - i think it is the AOE heal plus the force field that slow down bullets (will apply to the Vasu lasers?)
-Explosives-the rez bomb and healing one
-Medical tool- I think it will be the direct healing gun we saw similar to the enginieer one
-triage- i think this one will lead to the ressurection gun with the 2 seconds channeling

No offense, but PLEASE let it be viable to shoot people as a medic. I'm a soldier, damnit. I shoot people. I may also happen to patch them up, or get them back on their feet after they are downed, but I have a gun for a reason.

It's not an MMO, it's an MMOFP*S* . . . everyone should be a shooter, just with different strengths! (Also, this helps us avoid the TF2 medic, which is just silly, and so NOT PlanetSide.)

ok probably u havent read the posts before (pls do it) or anyelse you would have read that the medic can access to both carabine and rifle, that means u outgun LA-Engie, while the HA outgun you just a bit and the max obviusly outguns all the other classes.....

More combat inclined than that?
