I would like something interesting to do while i spawn. I dont think operation with my own ass hole is the answer though.
I foresee this thread turning into a SHOUT ABOUT KILL CAMS!

IMO it could actually be useful in some situations, say to distinguish whether an infiltrator or a regular infantrymam shot you and a general idea of where he was when he killed you. Also, it could be like a "tab" that you could switch to/from, kind of like the Combat Record in CoD (I know they already have something like this planned for PS2) that you could switch away from if you don't want it.

Only if I can get a scalpel out and cut myself open. VS look good even down to our guts.
Whatever the death screen is, I just want to be able to accept a resurrection right up until the instant I click to respawn at a spawn point. Let the spawn timer start counting down the moment I die, not the moment I release. How does that encourage anyone to wait for a medic? "Yes, would you like to wait for a Adv medic who may or may not be willing/able/present to heal you? Oh and you are guaranteed to take longer to respawn if they don't." Just one of those hard coded pieces of bullshit from the first game that I will be overjoyed to see gone. |

I like your idea, OP. A feature like this would be nice if respawn times are as long as they were in Planetside. However, since they're going for a faster combat flow, I'm hoping we won't need any "distractions" between respawns other than a quick scan over our stats.
Even then, it's a cool idea and it would be awesome to see a quick 2D overview or wireframe model of your character with damage locations and types marked (shotgun spread pattern, individual bullet wounds, explosive damage/shrapnel). |
