Yeah. Granted these are pictures taken of a monitor and not "screenshots" but looking back through the media archive, the guns do seem to take up a large portion of the screen.

I'm sure they like to show off the beautiful art work they've done and all, I just wonder if it is too much, or if it just appears that way and they are pretty much the same as any other shooter out there.

also very glad to see them making a come back, brought this up in the GDC footage that the bases looked a little plain without Faction colours and banners of the bases owner about.

I wonder if the glowy bits will end up taking on empire colors as well. That could be a nice alternative to the paint stripe change, and would add an extra bit of faction pride during night fights.

Awesome screenshot. I love the flag and scope.

It'd be sweet to stray bullets that hit the flag "projector" would cause the flag to flicker or go out for a few seconds.

great news that the flags are back!

those are the little aspects of immersion that we love to see!
in ps1 it was always possible to decide what empire owns the building ahead without looking at the map. loved this, and love to see it return!
when i saw the very first base picture, my first thought was, that the glowy parts would change colors according to faction. i even asked about it, but never got an answer. would be cool!
but since the base in the screenie is terran and the glowy parts are still blue, i think this will not happen.

Could be that they just haven't gotten to it yet. It certainly seems like it wouldn't be too much more work. Maybe if there is enough popular support.
