I don't understand the PSU or RAM selection. Get the corsair TX650 V2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139020 and this samsung ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820147096 .
Use the saving and get a 256GB M4 SSD as you can actually make use of that. Get this Gigabyte GTX 680 instead as it offers a superior cooling solution plus its cheaper http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125422 That case you want is on sale here http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1700545 No reason to make two threads on this also.

Also, what are your thoughts on this sound card in combo with my rig?

Buy it in a year if it seems like you could use it. It'll only get cheaper. As far as sound cards...I haven't kept up. I've never even heard of this HT Omega company. How'd you decide on it?

I would get this Creative X-Fi Titanium
I know its a refurb, but you are saving a lot of money. I have this ASUS one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829132006 I like it, but it requires a external power source. Had I known this at the time of purchase I would of not bought it. Just another damn wire I have to use, which I don't like. I don't recommend going the PCI slot route on these. These can last several builds potentially. Come next build I wouldn't count on there being many PCI motherboards due to it being legacy at this point (PCI-e replaced it). With that it would suck to limit your motherboard selection due to your sound card.

This will explain everything. I didn't write this, don't take it personally.
http://i.imgur.com/O9tRf.png There's also clip-on mics and adhesive boom-mics you can get, if a desktop mic isn't your thing. Goku, let me know if that's a tad too aggressive for me to post again in future. |

I Creative's basic PCI express X-fi card that they don't even sell any more, I use a splitter to connect it to my headset and speakers at the same time. Just turn the speakers off if I want to use the headphones.

What on earth are you looking at? The first link has 39 sets of on-ear/over-ear headphones under $250, the second has 22 (with some duplicates from the first). Only the IEM links are earbuds.
