From what I've read, the Vanu are not an alien worshiping cult or anything, they just wanted to use the alien tech to further humanity. The NC don't like how they research ways to use genetic modification, and think it's an inhuman practice. They think it goes against the laws of nature and humanity.

I'm sure lore wise, you could see a part of the VS be some occult, bowing down to the alien race that they live off of, but you can just as easily see the VS being humble scientists, wanting their creative freedom to research new technology and medicine and new ways to cure things that would have thought to be permanent, like brain damage, paralyzing, etc. They are just put to extremes to protect their dream of that happening, so they are forced to make new weapons for the time being.

Personally I see the VS's fight for freedom to research to be pretty just. Just a lot of people are obsessed with thinking of them as a cult worshiping some advanced alien race. I doubt the whole entire faction is some brainwashed mob thinking about becoming aliens.

But if you wanna ask me, I think no matter what side wins in the end, there will be a civil war later. the VS will have a civil war over complete genetic rewrite, about crossing the line between human and alien. The NC will have a civil war over the new capitalism and plutocracy, as it's not what many people fought and died for. The TR... Well if they win, this whole thing will just start all over again with factions breaking apart from it.

NC corporate leaders formed the NC because they saw profits in researching the new alien tech that was discovered. NC bosses just wanna profit off VS tech, and are willing to fund and train and arm a military faction to try to reinforce their profit margins. NC sodiers are tools, they aren't fighting for their own freedom, but the freedom to be slaves under the rule of NC executives.

VS don't seek profit, don't seek to have an elite few in control of the vast majority. VS don't seek this technology for any means other than advancing humanity. And the NC and TR wanna kill us for it, even though their respawners are running on our code, our tech, that we can pull the plug on at any time.

Yes, and the good side of the NC is that they are looking for freedom and liberty. What does it say about this supposed freedom and liberty when they try and take it away from others just because they disagree?

Not much thought was put into the lore, unfortunately. I'm not NC so I'm not going to be affected at least.

Same with how the TR think they're fighting for the good of humanity.

The NC was never designed to be the 'good guys'. And to be fair, its the only complex thing worth mentioning about the otherwise shallow lore is the moral vagueness and hypocrisy that surrounds all this shit. Even in real life.

The honda motorbike has liberated more people around the world than the american tank, yet try telling that to die-hard patriot.

And yet the vanu declared the war against us and the TR, just beacuse they think we are too close minded,meh.

To be on topic, I dont see why the NC and VS hate each other, yea I dont like to lose my human side, but we can all discuss about it. We share a common goal, liberate ourselves from the TR. I dont see why we cant create a better society together, but that wouldnt be fun at all,so I guess we have to kill each other.

And Neurotoxin, you say that we are going to be slaves of the corporations, we know a lot of your soldiers arent scientists, so if your side wins the war, you really think the ones with "more" intelligence will let the others decide about their future?

To be simple there is no real lore behind it.
When I saw the Stuff why NC and VS would fight each other, I just thought that this is such a artifical reason - because in fact there is no reason!!

" Please keep there, Vanus. We wont shoot at you then, ok? "
" Allright. Its not our problem if you dont want to become cool like us. "

" LOLOLOL, rebelscum spotted. Ready for execution. "

" Oh great ... ... lets just kill them. "

But then the game-mechanics wouldnt work, or even if they managed to balance it and simply give TR as double as much players as the other factions, it really is more interesting if its a 1-vs-1-vs-1 fight.
So that you get to feel a bit more variety in PvP.

I am very sure to join the VS. And I wont look at the NC as my enemys.
Sad that we have to shoot each other too, but in fact I only want to shoot at everything thats red.
