Friendly fire is a must and it makes a difference bringing the skilled players forward. I am hoping they have no naming system unless you hover over the person for a little bit or at the very least no floating names when viewing enemies.

At launch Darkfall online had no party/clan/alliance system so you had to be careful and learn what players are whom. It was chaotic but very fun and rewarded the skillful players.

Not a fan of camo myself, but I'd like to see if they come up with some cool patterns or variations of the standard colors as far as skins go. Like maybe they'd have it PS1 style where you can change from a bluer NC to a more yellow one, or the black and blue. Instead of leveling up to get these, you could buy them from the store.

And where's the hallway battles we had in PS1? Like defending the backdoor?

Hallway battles were a fairly horrible design if you ask me. Thank God the new bases are nothing like the old ones.

This has nothing to do with camos...

De-railing your own thread?

It ruins immersion.
Having tactital camouflage in a large-scale war game ruins immersion...

Besides, the faction colours will remain. And if you look at the video i posted, you will see that too.

I don't want camo, I want to cover myself in glowsticks and go full out raveparty on everyones asses.
Why go looking for enemies when I can make the enemies come to me!

PS2 isn't very defense oriented. Bases have wide open entrances everywhere, jumpjets, galaxy spawning, squad spawning.

Basti, anyone, close this thread...

It's just pointless when the OP is derailing it himself.

The camo looks good in that picture above, but in alot of the images i've seen of the camo options, the scaling looks wrong. For example on max weapons the detail on the camo is tiny and should be much larger in my opinion.

I hope the devs scale the camo skins up appropriately while keeping the textures high quality.

I'm more interested in having a customizable uniform color/shaging/pattern/w,e than preset camo skins.

Still like the camo though.

I get that WOW battleground feel when watching the videos, where everyone looks a motley collection of whatevers. Looking at the video, that camo doesn't give me the feeling of being in a faction, being part of a team.

And red, purple, and yellow-blue just looks cooler than desert yellow.
Camo options are there, it is going to be the way of funding the game so it's in our interest that there are there.

The issue is IFF which is something that was picked up by Ten Ton Hammer in their play test last week (althought I don't like their solution of colours for the tags above characters - let the colours stay the same as in ps1 which worked well).

It's difficult for me to be sure but from the videos I have watches IFF is a problem, however that may be because there are just videos and once you're immersed in-game it's different.
