This's probably excepted from NDA because any other streams could just talking shit about the lag or the textures or how it isn't BF4 or CoD3 or whatever, stuff that's either basically idiotic, or inapplicable to a Beta product. Either way detrimental to their marketing effort. Also, Higby should know what he's not supposed to show?

Best stream so far, IMO. Awesome scale, awesome battle, awesomely awesome.

Funny, I was thinking the opposite side of that, how nice and clear the skies were, and what a hellish battle that would be if you were constantly getting strafed by passing scythes.

This is a semi-open beta. People will leak and while you can ban them afterwards, the footage is out. If it's bad footage, it's bad for SOE. It could be a bad player, a bad computer, a bad connection, bad video editing skills - if the overall video is crap, SOE loses.

Some guy uploaded a series of three horrible videos yesterday. Sitting in an AA turret and committing suicide jumping off of various tall places.

The guys at SOE realized that no matter how hard they try, leaked footage will get out, NDA or not. So to turn a loss into a gain, Higby is now streaming high quality official footage - undercutting unofficial and potentially crap sources.

Smart people at SOE.

The quality could be better... you expect better from someone who actually works on the game. It is a little disappointing but I guess I can't complain.

Highlight of the night right there.
Watching the night footage, They REALLY need to make it darker. It's good and pitch black in the shadows, but other than that there's plenty of light to see far and wide.
