First of all I'm not a fan of playing MAX. They move too slow and there accuracy suck. Just does not really fit my play style. But I have seen others in my outfit playing MAX uints quite well.

Well that is what you have grenades for. When you breach a room with enemies you never ever enters a room without throwing something in first if you're alone and even if your not it's preferred but not necessary. You also never ever stop in the doorway. You move quickly in and spread out as you fire... If you're team is experienced in this the first guy through the door does not have to die.

Using a MAX unit for beaching a room is not ideal because they move too slow... If they don't use there rush ability that is.

On Terran I use the Burster in certain situations like defending a Gal or on the pads of a Bio lab, but prefer the Skyguard.
The AV is utterly and completely worthless. I mean, yeah, HA with lock-on is better than AV MAX on all Empires; but on Terran, every other class is better at AV using just their default pistols.
The Duel Cycler...well, I prefer HA for almost every situation. I'll occasionally pull it when I know a defense is lost and I want one final spree before going somewhere else.

The only real problem I have with MAXes atm is the melee: The hitbox is really wierd on infantry. Instead of being next to an enemy, looking at him to hit; you have to be standing on top of them. I mean on top as in walk through them until you can't see them in front of you anymore.

Yes, of course I use the TR MAX. They are ridiculously OP, hence the nerf to max suits and their availability.
The MAX is the best assault class in the game due to their huge HP pools and damage output. Add engi support and GG. A gal drop of MAXs, engies, and medics is the deadliest composition possible atm.

The issue most noobos do not understand is simple: this game is NOT meant to be played as a lone wolf yet people prefer moving quickly by their lonesome. A MAX is only effective when he/she is supported by an engi and some squad mates. Sure the MAX is slow and huge (easy to hit) because that is the outcome of a little something called BALANCE, yall might of heard of it.

Until people learn to play together, HA look more appealing than a MAX to the typical lone wolf.

I hardly use the MAX unless I need to throw up some AA.

I pull a MAX about as often as every other class. The only class I hardly ever touch is Engineer, and Light Assault after that.

A dual Falcon MAX is actually pretty easy to use for anti infantry. It'll probably be changed, though. I wish it was just a regular old dumbfire launcher like PS1. Maybe slow it down and decrease the clip size to make it more NC like, but make them just these big gigantic stupid rockets that make big booms.

So...

A lot of dual burster usage

and of course...

TR Dual Cycler (I can never get that sound out of my head after a base fight against TR).

Sounds about right from play experience. As NC the only thing I ever even think about touching a MAX for is AA, and thats only if there isn't an available turret.
