The New Conglomerate and Terran Republic have long been harassed by Vanu Sovereignty Infiltrators and better equipped their infrantry. Long range kills with a sniper rifle may now require an additional shot.
Huh? These things were already underpowered, now they're ridiculous.

Yes, that was the most entertaining update/nerf/buff post yet. Hope they keep on this line, rather than the vague, "this was adjusted" statements when you didn't know what to expect. It was very well done.

Only problem with these entertaining notes is sometimes they can lack clarity. To me this sounds like a nerf to the VS rifle so that the damage drop off is slightly more prominent at very long ranges. I haven't had the time to try it out, but i'm guessing the VS rifle has no bullet drop? if so this is probably because some VS guys were killing people from further than the devs wanted at too quick a rate.

This could be to offset the buff to VS weapons' projectile speed.

wow prowler splash dmg buff o.O and front armor buff. wow nice. i was just expecting maybe a top speed buff or quicker acceleration buff. pretty happy bout that. gonna have to log on tonight to check some of this awesomeness out.

What I read this to mean was that both theNC and TR sniper rifles were nerfed. No more oneshot kills. Prolly gonna need some clarification.

Yeah, I'm not sure its that:

I dont know, if anything it sounds like a buff to the NC/TR rifles in some way.. but a nerf in overall damage at range for all factions? Seems like it should be two different bullet points like this:

  • Long range kills with a sniper rifle may now require an additional shot.

But that doesn't make sense, if anything it was the VS rifle that needed buffing.

So they nerfed the VS sniper? If so, sounds legit. I expect to empty an entire clip into someone to kill them now. I hope they're AFK.

Sounds like they nerfed the Spectre in that description. I don't understand. Sped up the projectiles is a nice way of saying our damage degrades faster.
