I'll probably lone wolf in my early ranks, as Im getting used to the stealth suit etc. But for anything worthwhile grouping, or at least working as a team with your fellow empire mates, is the way to go.

Yup, to encourage grouping up, plus your going to kill more in a squad than solo.
