How you pass the time waiting for launch.

Ordered some PC upgrades. A Z77 mobo and a 3570k, they should arrive tomorrow morning so given the installation, overclocking and reinstall of W7 and drivers I should be just about ready to go when the game launches at 6pm my time.

Today on the other hand... hmm maybe some Dishonored or yet another attempt to start XCOM on impossible difficulty.

My approach was a bit more extreme. I asked my GF to marry me on Saturday evening and she said yes. Rest of the weekend was spent in a somewhat hysterical whirl of friends and family. Certainly took my mind off PS2, although I did laugh on Sunday when she paused, looked me in the eye and asked if it was a coincidence if I had asked her in the gap between Beta ending and the game launching. I think I got away with a little white lie.....

Did the same myself on Friday , got them delivered for Sat and spent the day rebuilding my system :P

Hehe, well I've had a few days of pure concentration which I am sure will become very, very hard once PS2 is released.

Well I had a very uneventful weekend.
1. Finished my paper on The troll bridge (online class)
2. Worked on some cisco homework (it was easy I know this shit like the back of my hand)
3. 930am saturday morning. Nothing to do.
4. installed Neverwinter nights, found the patch and installed that.
5. feed, burped babies, changed.
6. Played Neverwinter nights all night, old school D&D
7. Told my girl I would be at the computer all day tuesday. (she said its ok )
8. It is now monday Im at work, Its like grinding nails on a chalk board.

Tonight Ill be going to class and wiping the system.

Soon I will be sitting in Que and waiting to get into Planetside 2

also did the same and just finished upgrading my system yesterday. except I ordered the 2500k instead of the 3570k to save $30 during a sale, but you're going to love the mobo. Best one I've had.

besides doing computer stuff I plan on going outside today while I can because after release I know that won't be much of an option.

Nice one. My missus hasn't quite twigged that I haven't been playing in the evenings, and hasn't really questioned why.

I would never admit to the beta being over and that I can't play. I have simply chosen to spend every minute of the evening with her.
