Allow players to draw on the mini-map, visible to all squad members.
Allow platoon leaders to draw on the mini-map, visible to all platoon members. Allow toggle to see markings from all squad leaders in the platoon by colour. Squad member marks last a few seconds. Squad and platoon leaders may right-click and draw to make marks that are permanent until removed via hot-key. Possibly only available to outfits to avoid abuse. [EDIT: Presuming that the mini-map is first made useful, as suggested above] Last edited by VanUp; 2013-02-11 at 04:45 PM. |

I'm getting convinced that the enemy units appearing on the minimap as platoon members is caused by who ever it is that spots them, so if a bravo squad member spots a reaver it shows up as orange, Charlie as purple and so forth. Intermittent but annoying

I wasn't referring to the colors but to the circles. Instead of a circle have just a colored number. But now I see how this may be just another flavor of the same problem (clutter of numbers vs clutter of circles) ... Maybe auto zoom in bases is the solution.

I agree on all of these points. The minimap needs improvements.
I wish our player was represented with an arrow and we had the cardinal directions on the map like the PS1 minimap. That makes it much easier for me to figure out which direction im pointing at. |

Yet, I'm spending a lot of time in PS2 trying to decipher what I'm looking at on the minimap. Not to mention the bugs. |

I did not imply it was inferior, only that PS2 has different problems to work out than PS1 had. By a multitude of factors.
What i care about more in terms of navigation, is the recent slow down of the main map to open. It was slow before, now its just a liability. |
