1st all, I have and play them all.
The PC is the best thing you can have, but it is not the same as the others.
As far as the old PS2/GC/Xbox thing goes, when you look that this is only the 2nd year of xbox, and that you have games like halo *great looking too*, mechassault *great looking too*, Panzer Dragoon Orta *great looking too*, Ghost reacon, Splinter Cell, TimeSplitters, Unreal Tournament, etc etc, and that there is xbox live, so you can oh.. say play mechassault with 12 of your pals across the globe, or play with 12 around a lan with not having live *or halo, etc* you just cant have that kind of multiplayer on the ps2 or gc. the majority of the GC games are very childish, and are not very apealing to someone who likes fps games, etc and the PS2 is getting old, it has already been pushed to the limit, where as the xbox still has the power to do much more than it has been doing *halo2 screens anyone* so I would say that the mostpowerful (xbox) teemed with the best multiplayer games (xbox) wins hands down *I am a multiplayer gamer, couldnt care less about the singleplayer games*

anyway, jsut my thoughts, I think that whatever you like best you should go with

Same with PS2

XBOX : by far the best console . and If anyone has a problem with that ,you go out and buy every system then buy a $5000 hdtv, a $3000 pc and go play all the games to compare
everything then you can comeback and argue with me untill then
shut the fuck up
To busy supporting a family to piss away cash on a HD tv I'll have to stick with a someone elses for testing purposes... XBOX has great graphics and sound. The cape in the Spawn Movie was pretty keen too.

Content and playability > Eye candy. If I had to choose ps2 on my beat up 27" or xbox on a HD (only for gaming on the respective systems) I'd go with ps2. The current library of playstation games annihilates the xbox lineup. That is, if you're looking for something more than sparkly visuals. FF, Xenogears/saga, SaGa Frontier, Armored Core#, ICO, .Hack, Tenchu1/3 and hell.. the 2d Castlevania that came out with the system all trump anything that I've picked up for my xbox and those are just what I've been playing recently. Even the Gamecube, with Nintendo's penchant for not releasing enough games, gives more fun on the whole. This is all completely ignoring how staggering large and ugly the xbox is. It saved us from having to buy a new coffee table.

However, I will concede that the xbox really holds the market for sports games. NHL Hitz makes for a damn fine evening. Just not fine enough to merit the stroking you gave yourself.

On an unrelated note, what part of Canada are you from?

Edit.. to answer the f'n question: On the whole, I'd have to go with PS2 but only for content. PC games (with the glaring exception of the yet-to-be-released Planetside) just can't keep my attention. I may be defective.

Tis true. It has so much memory it is imposible to run out. If you save stuff from every game onto it, it will only be about 1/100 of the way full.

so are all of the other video game systems. Xbox is even less of a computer than ps2 because it donesn't have the word computer in it's title. ps2 long = Playstation 2 Computer Entertainment System

Xbox IS no more of a PC than the others, you can't install windows on it, you can't use a mouse and a keyboard (you can on ps2) and many other things, people just thought that the Hard Drive made it a pc, but it's just a damn good idea. i love not having to worry about memory card buying/space because it's big enough to hold all of your saves forever, unless you rip like >20 cd's on to it, then it starts to fill up

Xbox is made by Microsoft, one of the biggest computer businesses ever. Therefore it is more like a computer than any other system.

I found out that it has 64MB Memory

I think what all these people meant was.

(Thanks Tobias for suggesting that to Mist )

The Xbox is made by a computer software company and the interior is exactly like a PC. I agree the other consoles are becoming more and more PC like as well but the Xbox is definitely already there.

I've played XBox, Gamecube, PS2, and of coarse PC. Personally, I don't realy think graphics are that important. I love playing simple games like the old frogger or pong. Don't get me wrong, I love good graphics and can't wait for Planetside and Halo 2. I think the only thing XBox has to offer is Halo and the upcoming Halo 2. The PC has wide variety of games and visual capabilities. Gamecube has EXCELLENT graphics but a limited amount of good games. My fav, PS2, doesn't have the best graphics but I think by far has the best games. I like fast-action, violent, and creative games. My computer sucks SO bad, it has just as much RAM as the XBox. I only wish sometthing likePlanetside could come out for PS2.
