Your drive is faulty. Get an RMA or attempt a secure erase.

I'm coming in late, but your machine is great for running the game, but I believe the best GTX 460 only has 1GB of RAM on it, so I would absolutely get a better card.

Only one question, you said you have "about" 16GB of RAM? What does that mean? Is it 16GB or not?

I have a i5 2500k @ 4.8 Ghz and a GTX680 (with a 570 PhysX card). I get better FPS on ultra settings than I do at low settings...

i have the same cpu as the op and i overclocked it (asus auto overclock medium because i don´t have watercooling)

same 16gb ram and a gtx680 with 4gb vram (also a little overclocked)

on ultra tex and everything else on high in small fights i can get fps rates of over 100 and i seem to get stable 60 fps in big battles. almost no stuttering, but if i don´t kill all unnecessary background programs i crash a lot.

and the game almost always tells me, i´m cpu bound.
so the cpu seems to be a better upgrade than the graphics card.
try overclocking first! and check if you can boost your cpu to a point where the game always tells you, your gpu bound. until you get gpu bound you should not need to upgrade graphics.

Should be 16GB. I just honestly don't remember if it's either 8GB or 16GB. I built it last year and forgot.

I'm pretty sure its 16GB though.

I guess I'm in the minority preferring the way it is currently.

Perhaps, but that comment seems to be in the wrong thread

Only for PS2...it's the opposite in most situations.

460 GTX is still a decent card.

But in terms of planetside 2. I would seriously upgrade.

I upgraded from a 460, to a 7970 and the fps gains where huge.
