GET OVER IT!


An under slung gun would be a huge disadvantage with these game mechanics so it wont happen. In PS1 HA assault weapons were extra powerful so it was ok if they had weird attributes. Here in PS2 guyn are balanced so it wont happen.


Move on this is getting old.

yes, SOE. the underslung mcg is that important to us. it is an icon, it is a legend.

Yeah, actually I think we are. I'd say that the MCG is currently the best HA weapon in the game, and I hardly ever see it shooting over cover. I don't think it would lose much from being underslung. If anything, just make another "MCG" and have it be underslung.

Yep, we'd start asking for buffs. And rightly so, as long as we get a weapon that is actually cool, unlike every single other weapon in this game.

A 1000+ round per minute Predator movie style mini gun would be cool for sure but from a developer point of view, it's not really an option.

First of all, the game can't handle any ROF higher than 1000 rpm as Higby has said. Secondly, they have to completely redo human animations for that, which is a lot of work for a single gun.
I rather have the dev team working on other things atm than going in all this hassle for a single gun.

The underslung mini gun is a nice-to-have feature, not a must-have, that I would like to see as a nice bonus at the end of the main development of this game. Not anywhere sooner.

Many would say playing solo and not in a team, which you do by your own admission, is a huge disadvantage. But you can do it. No one's going to tell you how you should spend your time. I personally am not going to go for cover with a 200 round magazine. I'm going to go temporarily insane and I want some immersion while I do it.

Give me my 10 continents, new base designs, meta game, additional vehicles, extra weapon slots and all classes/weapons overhaul first before we can even remotely speak of the main development of this game being over. then make your own thread for those. since you haven't, you obviously don't want it badly enough.

when it comes to advertising ps2, image matters. the underslung mcg on the beta menu was the picture that sold ps2.

I don't have to ask for them because they are already in the queue. I'm just trying to explain here why you can't expect this feature to be anytime soon in the game, as far as developers are concerned.
