I played a decent amount initially, but not much recently. Though I am keeping up to date on the game. Probably give it another go sometime between the holidays.

I am still a relative newbie and so am still smitten with Planetside 2. Having said that, due to work and real life commitments I only really manage to get online once or twice a week. And I enjoy the game, my only let down being my own ability really. My laptop copes with the game quite well with the graphics on low so no real problems there.

As a premium member I still log on once a day, for both of my characters, just to gather my certs.

Try to log in every day (certs ), if there is time, i play for an hour or so. On Fridays and Saturdays i like to play longer session (which since the omfg Update the game does not allow me any more because of crahes every half hour or so ).
Playing regulary since Dec 2012 and still (mostly ) enjoing it...

Haven't played in a while, I was one of the lucky few who had decent performance before the optimization patch but I just burnt out before it even landed.

I've not been playing seriously for the last three months, like bPostal said I'm in love with the concept of Planetside it's just there's something fundamentally wrong with the current version of Planetside 2.

I could write thesis on what I think is the problem but to sum up.

PS2 is a game that doesn't know what it's supposed to be, they've split or fractured the games personality and core mechanics during development and kept on doing it.

Make it like Planetside 1..... (months of work)

NO make it more like battlefield (more months of work)

You know what scratch that make it more like this other game I heard about.... (time wasted)

nah right the first time make it like PS1..... (time is sundered)

you know I like this idea now..... (where we are today).

For me it should have been one game with plenty of stuff added to it, instead its many games with very little added to it.

Log in every day for my 48 (until Nov 20) but haven't fired a shot in anger in 4 months. Need meta which I'm sure will come some time.

I've stopped and don't yet see a reason to restart. The reason I stopped was/is because of the missing elements and I mean the strategic side of things, ie inter-continental with more continents to make it viable etc. etc.

I don't think those will be added within a 6 month timeframe so I do not expect to play again soon but I am interested in keeping in touch etc.

The best thing I've seen recently was the video of Ini versus Dark but although it was good that's only a side-show to the real game.

OMFG is good but perfromance wasn't the reason I stopped and it won't influence me to return.

I logged on last night with my outfit and had a blast. The shooter mechanics are spot on. And since I am with an active outfit the teamplay is wonderful. Of course I want continental conquest and all of the rest of the bells and whistles but as it stands planetside 2 is a lot of fun for me.

The resource revamp should add some more strategy. I'll be the first to say I hate lattice but I understand the importance of it for the inter-continental lattice. With the Resource revamp though hopefully we'll be able to contribute to a larger fight without actually being forced to farm/get farmed for thirty minutes by instead trying to stop ANT units or set up little blockades at resource nodes to stop them from supplying the front so easily.

*Edit* Since I forgot to mention.. I still log in on a daily basis. How can I bitch about faction balance if I didn't..! Still though I won't argue that there is something fundamentally wrong with the game. I don't find myself playing for fun anymore, more so for the ribbons and Auraxium medals.

I check psu every couple of weeks, give or take, but I haven't played since Sept. (and I wouldn't really call what I did in Sept. "playing PS2", more just farting around. I guess I care enough to read a bit about it, but lost the drive to really care. I've also been very busy making a platformer game for my kids, which occupies all of my spare time.

- Lack of separation between vehicles and infantry when it comes to spawning and contesting a point.
- 3minute biolab timer.
