I'd pick up anyone! But the only problem is that I'm usually too caught up in the game to look at my chat box... so I probably wouldn't even know the poor guy was stranded! I'd do more than land on the vanu! KAMAKAZI!!!!!

Anyways, even if it is a MMO it doesn't mean people are nicer. Less TKers of course but it doesn't mean they have to be nicer. In EQ for example, I met many nice people but I also met many very mean people. It seemed to me that lower level people were nicer and higher level people were meaner. At level 15 I gave a guy a new sword instead of keeping it for myself and gaining 10pp. Even at that low level, I was willing to help newbies out. When I first started out, I was very lost and it took a long time to find someone willing to help me. He showed me how the game was played and gave me many helpful tips and a little bit of extra money before he had to leave. If only more people could have been like him, games would be so much better for the new players.

what I want to know is how do you get stranded out in the middle of nowhere? o

I dunno, I think people will be very helpfull. An extra teammate might make the difference between victory and defeat.

people help each other in RTCW..its the nature of the game..if you want to win..you help each other.

I am going to agree with Corbie on this. Unlike other MMO games, there is no reason /not/ to help someone. In EQ, or games like it, if you were to help then it would quite literally cost you. In this, it only makes you more likely to win. I think that you really can't compare this and EQ in that way, as they are two completly different mindsets.

People still get that cowboy mentality where they just want to go off and kill something. Unfortunately it may cost them a key victory to a facility or something. Hopefully we won't see too much of it but it will probably happen more than we like.

Helping I think will be something that you see because of the simple fact that the guy you're helping could be the guy that saves your butt five minutes later... Me? I'm thinking of going Reaver and maybe go up to a cert to drive a buggy as well, if that's possible... and if I see ya wonderin' around, you can have my gunner seat.

I'm going to specialize in piloting/driving just about everything. I for one would like to be helped if I was stranded because I'd do the same thing if the situation was reversed.

Well I doubt this will happen too frequently. But it certainly does suck to be stranded on foot. hehe

it will happen.. all it will take is one drunken 16 year old punk with a galaxy cert. drive ya off a good ways from where ya wanted to go and log off.
