US doesn't receive any oil from Libya. Only EU countries do.

Especially Italy had good relations with Khadaffi.

Speaking of receiving and not receiving oil.

Some time ago "Iran stopped oil deliveries to the UK in response to EU statements", they wern't delivering oil to them in the first place. Hilarity ensued.

It doesent matter if they dont get any oil from them its maintaining the stability of oil prices.

True, if they didn't deliver oil to others, the total oil supply on the market would be lower, thus demand/supply ratio would rise.

I know I'm in total agreement. I was just making the point that US doesn't buy its oil from just anyone which was back to Fig's point.

Isn't that why EU decided to support the rebels because Gaddafi was threatening to cut off oil to the EU? Sorry my history is a little fuzzy on that event which was last summer?

NATO bombed him because he is a murderous dictator who funded terrorist groups across Europe. It was the first chance at making a transition to an alternative government without seeming like being conquering invaders.

That and the factions that tried to rebel wern't - as many feared - religious nutcases (all that and the oil flow was promised to continue).

Is that 5% to the US under Khadaffi rule longer term?

As said earlier, Berlusconi was particularly happy to take Libyan oil.

Let's do this. Romney Quote of the day.

Washington post had some fun comments to make about the GOPs recent direction with rhetoric. It might sound harsh though if you're conservative.

You won't find much support for Romney around here. He's a douche bag.

As for the Republican Party... well the problem is they aren't conservative enough, not too much so. Don't confuse religious nutcases for conservatives.

Interesting read from the Rolling Stone's Interview with Obama. Not a fan of how he downplays some questions, like the Marijuana one. He really doesn't like to give the conservatives any ammunition.

Yes, I'm quite sure "gun control" in every other nation aside from America is "about keeping guns out of the hands of freed slaves..." and that this is really a relevant argument since it applies to everyone today and thus severely backfired on whatever racists tried to go for. Racists without guns == good, btw.

And not conservative enough? How the hell can you get more restrictive on human rights and narrowmind... I mean conservative than the Republicans?
