External Beta will include primary rounds of entry for existing PlanetSide 1 players and additional External Beta registrants, including those who obtained Beta codes from the PC Gamer magazine cover feature.

They did a great job with the keys, if you know what you are getting into.

The priority structure is as follows:

1) Planetside 1 vets // PC Gamer beta key holders
2) Those with a Twitter/Facebook/whatever Beta Key holders
3) Everyone else without a key and clicked 'sign up for beta.'

You are #2 in the priority list, ahead of the masses.

First off, happy about the announcement, this week (late) at best.
Next week (early) at worst.

Fine.

However, this talk about game companies never releasing beta dates, schedules, or how many people were let in, is total, T.O.T.A.L. bollocks.

The only rare bit of information would be the exact number of participants.
"This many invites were sent out this week" "This is how many we'll send out next, depending on 'x'" is common enough.

Walk about 5 yards into the internet and you'll see that ANYONE else takes dates and 'soon' seriously, yet around here it seems to be some kind of joke.

Sorry for being the odd man out.

Radar, do you have any information on which specs will be able to play the game? I mean would people with low end machines have to wait a bit or will it come out ready for most PCs?

I hope the devs don't take all the bad posts to heart. Remember it is a privelege not a right to be in the beta at all. To SOE: I hope you know that for every negative poster on here there are 10 more watching intently, patiently waiting, and eager to try out the game.

Contradictory was the wrong word to use - my apologies. However, you say 'entering' closed beta. But we all know that the internal closed beta has been going on for a bit now... so what do you mean by 'entering' closed beta?
