I halfway wanna throw down the Firefly Challenge to all these so-called "superior" video-game outfits and see how they measure up in real life. Invite them to face off at a tournament or at WPCC.

Nah, I only made it out to the first. I'll be back again if we're out there in the fall. Actually decided it would be a good idea to you know...hit the gym and build up some form of endurance to climb that damn hill again.

How many would show up? This is the first group I've actually seen take ourselves out of the game for something (another good reason people should join)

I know I've never been to one, but the fact that we can meet outside of the game is one of the reasons I joined. You'll see me at one of those at some point, maybe sooner than later.

I don't know of any other video-game outfit, guild, clan or whatever that can do what we do with as many people. We fill platoons in Planetside, and we filled a Planetside-sized platoon for West Point Combat Classic. If other "guilds" or outfits do it, I feel safe in saying they don't do it with more than a handful of folks - considering that most (if not all) big-time outfits are made of people from all over the continent/world. And I'm almost positive that none can manage to score a win-ratio the way we do. Practically every time we show up in force, we bring home an MVT award. Every time one of our officers shows up on a big-game forum, we get swarmed with offers to come fight for someone. Witness the bidding war from the last game.

As for how many would show... if I issued a call-to-arms against someone who took up that challenge, I bet we'd get over thirty. Because it would be another MVT for us, it would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity... real-life Outfit Wars? Hell yeah.

If we can get thirty, and they each have enough, we should just put em all in the same field and have IRL PS2. Don't call it PS2 for obvious reasons, but throw everyone on the field and have at it. Build objectives, bases, etc and have each team with a 'CR 5'.

It'd take a shit ton of planning, but successfully bringing Planetside to a paintball field with the group of people we play against on the PC would be a pretty epic ordeal.

I could see a three-way Planetside paintball battle. I couldn't see it on a field any smaller than Splat Brothers, for example. I also can't see SOE allowing us to make money on the project. But if they decided to sponsor it, that would allow for construction.

Each field gets a tower (think Splat Bros and that awesome tower raid we pulled). Main objective is a base. Hehe. INTERLINK FACILITY.

Hey I would be down for not doing it for a profit if it was sponsored by them. I think it'd just be awesome to see it pulled off and brought outside of the PC. And it would definitely require a large field and preferably a large field that would let us do some construction (not some place like Skirmish where their fields are pretty much set).

If they won't, well...then we could just call it something else and just invite PS outfits. And then pretend this conversation never happened....
