Very much doubt that saying you in the beta breaks NDA, and secondly unless the persons really stupid their user name on here would not be the same as on the SOE site, so very hard to impossible to know the person on here is to the person in the beta.

NDA restricts you from posting footage, taking screenshots, never heard of "DON'T TELL THEM YOU"RE IN!" thing.

That's just highly, highly unlikely. Do you renember the Battlefield 3 Closed Alpha?

NDA is useless if they can't recognize you.

I've been in closed betas where testers were not allowed to disclose whether or not they were in. They happen.

Same, but even in those cases, somebody always tells.

I've been doing betas for a long time, and there are indeed many that restrict you from telling anyone you are in the program. Often people that are in the beta will make something of a game out of playing dumb on forums etc.. "I guess we'll have to wait and see," "I want to play so badly!" :P Seen it many times.

Yes, there will probably be leaks anyways.

No definite's but there's a lot of theories circling around Higby's haircut because of some previous comments.

SOE is making a big deal of the haircut too, so who knows.

Label it as a want more than a definite.

"Tech test" not beta. The tech test happening today is for SOE's needs not the community's. Not everyone will get in and only comp specs selected are let in. That means that PS1 vets like myself will have as much a chance of getting in today as anyone else.

Higby did make those comments. And like I said they are making a big dealer out of this damn haircut aren't they? To be honest I think the worst we'll get out of this is a date for when they plan to start beta.

I'd laugh pretty hard if they shaved the date that beta starts into his hair.

I'd also laugh pretty hard if he shows up and then doesn't get his hair cut. Although if I were him and that happened, I'd make sure to have an armed escort out of the place to counter the nerd rage that would happen.

hard to tell where tech test ends and beta starts but the tech test really shouldnt take more than a few days from my understanding soooooo......perhaps beta invites going out soon if nothing else? i get the impression after haircut is done that either beta server goes live for some or beta starts next week and tech test fires up til then for the next few days with just a few external non soe people. either way we are very very close.

The tech test is probably on the latest beta build which technically means beta is starting.

They said in command center that the tech test WOULD have people invited too it so they could get data on how the different systems are handling the build.
